Welcome to Atlanta Tattoo Artist

Here in Atlanta, finding a tattoo artist is as easy as finding a traffic jam. But assuming you’re after a tattoo that is also an original work of art, you’re probably taking the time to educate yourself about all of the options before you make a decision…

In our ever-changing world it seems nearly any- and everyone is getting tattooed! With so many people wanting tattoos, hundreds of shops are opening to accommodate demand. Unfortunately – as is the case with anything that becomes mass-produced and widely consumed – this boom in business has brought about a surplus of tattoo studios that would rather make a buck than a lasting impression.

"There are, still some shops that strive to continue the ART of tattooing and want nothing more than to give you the tattoo of your dreams!"

Sadly, many treat tattooing as more service than craft, robbing it of its crucial artistry and employing technicians rather than skilled artisans and creative innovators. This makes it difficult for customers to bring new ideas to the table. If you can’t find a design on the wall or bring in your own, many shops are almost powerless to help you. Attractively drawn custom tattoo designs require an artist’s touch and an ability to create rather than just replicate. At Ink & Dagger, we house some of the region's most talented artists working to bring the traditions and styles of tattooing’s past into the next generation, setting the standard for artists and studios to come.

GET THE TATTOO OF A LIFETIME!

What do you want?

The first part is usually the easiest because most people seek out a tattoo artist once they have an idea for a tattoo. This is not always the case, however. Sometimes people have a slew of ideas, a theme, or a topic and are unsure how it might translate into a visual piece. We welcome all ideas – with or without visual reference.

Who should create it?

One of the beauties of having great artists working as tattooists is having the ability to bring themes, concepts, and spoken ideas to life. With years of professional experience and an unparalleled understanding of the delicate balance between the human body and the application of tattoos to it, you can rest assured that you are in good hands at Ink & Dagger.

Most custom tattoos begin with a consultation in the shop. This is a time for you to meet face-to-face with your artist to discuss the work you wish to have done. Before the drawing is done, your artist will most likely ask for a deposit to secure your spot on our calendar.

While not required, it is highly recommended that you bring any visual or written reference you can find for your initial consult. This can include sketches, photographs, or computer printouts. We also house an extensive library of reference materials to aid in your search for the perfect image. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please ask.

It is very important that you plan accordingly for a tattoo session. This means you must come sober and not hungry. We always recommend coming on a full stomach.

We will absolutely NOT - under NO circumstance - tattoo anyone who is under the influence of any substance.

It also really helps to not go out and get wasted the night before as hangovers and tattoos make for bad bedfellows.

Many newcomers’ first question is "will it hurt?" The fact of the matter is that tattooing is a unique and different experience for every person. If you are concerned about your pain tolerance, ask your artist to suggest an area that may be less intense. You won’t know until you've tried it for yourself, so don't listen to what others have to say, come speak to a professional and find out for yourself.

It is always important to keep an open mind when preparing to get a tattoo.

Not every idea makes for a good tattoo. Sometimes images are too highly detailed and don't work as a small piece. Other times a certain image may not translate well on the part of the body one wishes to have tattooed. Therefore, we ask that you keep an open mind and rest assured that we at Ink & Dagger will work to create the best possible tattoo for you!

Ink And Dagger Tattoo Parlour

We welcome all ages. As long as you are over 18, we invite you to come to the shop and talk to one of our artists about your first or next tattoo. We work with all complexions – no matter the skin-tone or body-type; we can work with you to create the best design for you, also determining what colors and styles will ensure your tattoo’s beauty and longevity. At Ink & Dagger, we will even update, repair, or cover-up just about any preexisting work that may have faded with time, lost significance, or just doesn’t suit you anymore. We understand that times and people change, which is why we aim to work with you to arrive at a design that we know will stand the test of time, looking good for years to come and making you happy just as long.

We can't speak for every tattoo studio...

but at Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour, your health and safety are our highest priority. In addition to providing new needles for every client, we also adhere to strict procedures to avoid cross-contamination. You can expect to see disposable ink holders, disposable razors, and barriers on everything that must be touched during the tattoo process. We work closely with the Dekalb County Board of Health to ensure that we are meeting or exceeding all health regulations. In addition to new needles and sterile set-ups, you can expect to see disposable ink cups, poly-backed paper barriers, and plastic barriers covering anything that may be touched during the tattoo process. All work area surfaces and chairs are cleaned with a germicidal solution before and after every procedure. We take our client’s health and safety extremely seriously and encourage you to ask questions.

We are now taking walk-ins!

No appointment is necessary for smaller designs. However, if you're interested in a larger tattoo, we suggest coming in and speaking with an artist ahead of time about your ideas. Appointments are suggested for anyone who wants a custom design. Your artist will usually ask for a deposit before an appointment is set.

The best place to park is the gravel lot next to the studio.

When the restaurant next door gets busy, they will sometimes have valet parking in the gravel lot. You are welcome to use the valet service but most of our customers prefer to park themselves.
